Due to Lockdown, the entertainment industry has been suffered from a big loss and Dhollywood is still reeling under the after-effects. Many other regional film industries have resumed shooting in a limited capacity but still, Dhollywood is yet to get into the action mode. Small scale projects like short films, web series and TVCs have resumed work, but Gujarati films still haven’t gone on his way! With most technicians and DOPs coming from Mumbai, the Gujarati film industry is waiting for things to get more streamlined so that the crew members can travel from Mumbai. The shortage of resources will be one of the toughest challenges the industry will face, due to this pandemic.
Almost every Gujarati actor is from Ahmedabad or we can say basically from Gujarat but due to shoots and works they normally travel to Mumbai frequently, but due to this pandemic it is quite tough to do that on the normal basis. In Mumbai, the number of cases are more compare to Gujarat, so this will definitely going to affect the industry and in some time actor’s will also suffer from many issues as their shoots had been in a standstill position.
In this post lockdown, everyone has to come across many different challenges, but lack of resources will be the most difficult one. On a set, a number of artists and technicians come from Mumbai, and unless interstate travel, permissions etc get streamlined, things will not start rolling smoothly. Now, the producers and directors should take due care of keeping the artists safe and following all the guidelines that have been decided by the government.
