Hellaro wins another prestigious award !!
Abhishek Shah’s directorial Gujarati film Hellaro has been appreciated, at various national and international film festivals and have continued its good run winning several prestigious awards as well. The film made history by becoming the first even Gujarati film to win the prestigious National Award for Best Feature Film in 2019. It is screened at various international film fests including the Cannes Film Festival.
Now the film had feature again by winning the FIPRESCI India GRAND PRIX 2019 Award. Hellaro was nominated amongst 20 other films including Jallikkattu (Malayalam), Article 15 (Hindi), Aamis (Assamese), Super Deluxe (Tamil) and Kumbalangi Nights (Malayalam). It is a matter of pride for the Gujarati film industry.
Winning these awards surely feels great, but it is more important to keep yourself grounded. There have been so many other filmmakers who have made a name for themselves in the industry. Abhishek Shah is on the way to continue making good films and not bask in the glory of Hellaro. He want to concentrate on good subjects that will make for interesting films in the years to come.
